Sensitive Skin, Ingrown Hairs, & Razor Bumps… Oh My!
Hey, girl, hey!
It’s been a while since I’ve posted on here, and I have missed it. So, I’m back with an information-packed blog post that gives you the ULTIMATE Guide to hair removal at home to help you learn how to remove hair down there perfectly.
There are four main hair removal methods I’ll be talking about. All of which are affordable, available ANYWHERE and are great for sensitive skin.

Method 1: Shaving
This method is one of the best methods for beginners. It doesn’t take long to get acclimated with and it removes hair pretty well.
However, if you have sensitive skin, I recommend the razors that have aloe vera and shea butter on each side of the razor blade. I also suggest you soak your arm in warm to hot water for 10 minutes, exfoliate the area, then apply shaving cream (I suggest EOS shaving cream for sensitive skin).
Method 2: Nair Bikini Cream
Out of all the methods I will mention in this post, Nair is by far the best one.
Even though this method is the best one I don’t recommend it for beginners since you will need to be comfortable working with chemicals down there. To use Nair what you’ll do is soak the area, apply the cream with a popsicle stick, let it sit for only 10 minutes and finally wipe it off with a wet cloth. Once you wipe it off, your hair will be perfectly removed.
Method 3: Home Waxing
This is a method that I don’t use often. Since Nair is the only hair removal method that is painless and effective.
There are a variety of waxes in-store and online. Some stores sell waxes for sensitive skin, sugar waxes, and there are even some you can make in the comfort of your home!
Method 4: Electric Shaving
If you are an absolute newbie, this hair removal method is the one for you!
To be clear, this will not remove your hair as well as waxing BUT it will be a great starter. This method will trim your hair with ease, and most electric razors come with a guard so you’re never at risk of cutting yourself. To make things even easier, you can use an electric shaver wet or dry.
8 Shaving Hacks For Down There
- Apply Serum/Oil after hair removal to avoid irritation
- Condition before soothe after
- After shaving/waxing wear loose underwear
- Moisturize! Moisturize! Moisturize!
- Ensure you sanitize your razor before use
- Shave toward hair growth
- Exfoliate your skin before hair removal
- Don’t wear tight bottoms in the first 24 hours after shaving

There are more convenient ways to combat unwanted hair; they make your skin smooth for a very long time and are more convenient to use.
Hey Girl…
Appreciate all the great advice.
Always looking for any new ideas when it comes to no razor burn and shaving bumps.Trying to achieve hair less no burn or bumps skin
In such delicate areas hasn’t been too successful for me.
Had discovered coochy cream and it worked okay for awhile but still can’t get flawless results.
You said you had good results with the Nair.
Question: Can you put Nair on such a sensitive area as a Vajjay??
